The effects of physiological body nutrition during allergy treatment.

The medical study involved 25 patients aged 10-75 years with the following diseases: psoriasis (6 patients), acne (7 patients) and allergy (including cases of AD, 10 patients), who – besides standard treatment – were also subject to nutritional intervention in the form of 12 capsules of BioMarine®570 per day (24 ml of BioMarine®Medical calculated on the squalene and alkylglycerol content).

All the patients with psoriasis were observed to experience a noticeable or remarkable improvement. All allergic patients experienced alleviation of their allergy symptoms. 85% of the patients suffering from acne demonstrated a noticeable or remarkable improvement in the dermatological condition of their skin.

The use of BioMarine® ingredients by the body

  BioMarine®Medical – autoimmune self-regulation

As revealed by clinical trials, using BioMarine®Medical supports the natural immunoregulation of the body (regulating the functioning of the immune system). One of the mechanisms behind this action is the regulation of Th lymphocyte (immune cells) activity in the Th1/Th2 system.

When allergens appear in our body and are mistakenly recognised as a threat, then Th2 (pro-allergic) lymphocytes undergo stronger activation, which leads to the exacerbation of the symptoms of allergy.

As a result of appropriate nutrition of the body with the ingredients of BioMarine®Medical – alkylglycerols and squalene, the bone marrow starts to produce properly reacting immune cells. The activity of Th1 (anti-allergic) lymphocytes is reinforced, the production of IL-10 is inhibited, and the production of IFN-y is increased. This inhibits the activity of Th2 lymphocytes, which brings back the body’s equilibrium, or the so-called homeostasis.

Using the ingredients of BioMarine®Medical, the body activates autoimmunoregulation processes which lead to alleviation of the allergic reactions.

The role of inflammatory factors in allergies

As demonstrated by clinical trials, using essential fatty acids (EFA) EPA + DHA omega-3 may contribute to the elimination of inflammatory conditions in the body. These substances are already active at the level of regulating the activity of genes, thereby allowing the body to better control the reactions related to the development and cessation of inflammatory processes.

An abnormal immune response that develops in an allergy sufferer leads to the formation of local inflammatory reactions, which manifest themselves through redness, itching or skin rash.

If the body is nourished with essential fatty acids (EFA) EPA + DHA omega-3, the synthesis of pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as PGE2, LTB4, IL-1, IL-6, TNF-α decreases, with a simultaneous increase in the production of anti-inflammatory cytokines, including IL-2 and TGFβ.

Essential fatty acids (EFA) EPA + DHA omega-3 are also transformed by the body’s cells into resolvins – RvE and RvD which strongly promote the termination of inflammatory processes.

Proper nutrition of the body with essential fatty acids (EFA) EPA + DHA omega-3 leads to the eradication of inflammatory processes and alleviation of allergic reactions.

  Source of the effect

The effects arising out of using BioCardine®Omega-3 and BioMarine® are produced physiologically by the body. This means that they cannot be achieved in any other way. For their production, the body needs to activate concrete physiological processes that require relevant substances. And hence the resulting effects are so significant and multi-directional. This translates into significantly greater strength of the body as well as better effectiveness in saving patients’ life and health.

Even more spectacular effects can be obtained through comprehensive action

BioMarine®Medical is a unique composition combining the potency of BioMarine®1140, BioCardine®Omega-3 and Tranu OLAVA® cod liver oil.

Based on the dosage table above, calculate what dose of BioMarine®Medical is currently needed by your body.

BioMarine®Medical should be taken 15-20 minutes before meal – this will ensure optimum absorption of the lipids contained in the product.

The daily dose of the product is usually taken in 2-3 portions. However, if you take greater amounts of BioMarine®Medical, you may divide your daily dose into more portions (even up to 8). An ideal solution is to use the product before each meal.

Fish oil is absorbed already through the oral mucosa. Therefore, before swallowing, it should be kept for a few seconds in the mouth – this way, the mucous membranes undergo direct physiological reconstruction and regeneration.

If the fish aftertaste is hard to accept, you may mix a portion of the oil with natural fruit juice (e.g. raspberry or cherry, but never with citrus fruits), eat is together with bread, or swallow with a small amount of boiled water or herbal tea.

  La®Squalana – regeneration of allergy-prone skin

Squalane (the saturated form of squalene) included in La®Squalana is the genetically required building substance of the skin. La®Squalana offers not only skin care but also revitalisation of its deepest layers. Providing the skin with vital structures makes it activate defence and regeneration mechanisms.

An allergic reaction developing in the body may also be manifested in the form of skin symptoms. In most cases, it takes the form of rash, with the skin of allergy sufferers being rough, flaky and cracked. A systemic allergy is often accompanied by atopic dermatitis (AD), resulting from improperly functioning immune system and the genetic predisposition to allergic reactions.

Scientists from the Dermatological Department at the University of Seoul demonstrated the excellent skin care effects that can be achieved by supplementing our diet with high amounts of squalene. Compared to the baseline, all the subjects were observed to experience reduction of wrinkles by even 30%, increase in skin collagen content by 130%, and reduction of skin redness by 36%. See the abstract from the publication »»

Therefore, using BioMarine®Medical and La®Squalana, you fight against an allergy in two different ways. You provide your body with substrates essential for the formation of anti-allergic compounds. You also support the functioning of the skin which activates regeneration and defence mechanisms, and by strengthening the protective barrier, allergens will find it more difficult to penetrate the external layers of the epidermis.

Physiological nutrition and skin care are essential in combating allergies.

  Cell revitalisation

Adequate amounts of physiological building and regulatory substances, such as alkylglycerols, squalene, EPA and DHA omega-3 fatty acids, as well as vitamins A and D3, are necessary for the physiological functioning of the cellular renewal system.

  Allergy – what is it?

An allergy is an abnormal reaction of our immune system to a factor (allergen) which is usually not harmful for us.

In an allergy process, the immune system mistakes allergens for harmful factors, which triggers a reaction aimed at their neutralisation and removal from the body.

The symptoms related to the body’s allergic reaction usually include: rhinitis, conjunctivitis, bronchospasm, breathing difficulties, rashes, inflammatory skin blisters. In extreme cases, the body’s reaction to an allergen may be the anaphylactic shock and death.

The most common allergens include mites, pollen, animal dander, fungal spores, wool and feathers.

  Causes of allergy

Why do we suffer from allergies?

The causes behind the development of allergy are not fully clear. However, attention is drawn to some of them which have a serious impact on the occurrence and development of allergic conditions:

– improper nutrition – deprived of adequate amounts of the physiologically essential substances of the immune and anti-inflammatory systems, primarily lipids (fats) such as squalene, alkylglycerols and essential fatty acids (EFA)* EPA + DHA omega-3, the body is not able to function properly.

– environmental factors – exposure to new, unknown allergens caused by rapid industrial development (exhaust fumes, dusts, plastics) and the related food processing procedures using many chemical substances (preservatives, colours, flavour enhancers), increased room sterility.

– genetic factors – predispositions for allergies may be hereditary. Research shows that allergic individuals are more common to have allergic children than healthy individuals.

  Allergic reaction – scientific approach

What does an allergic reaction involve? – Scientific explanation

An allergic reaction is a complex response of the body’s immune system upon contact with an allergen. It involves shifting of the immune response towards the TH2.

  1. Upon contact with the body, allergens penetrate through the surface of the mucous membrane and are captured by the antigen-presenting cells (allergen), which then process and present a given antigen to Th lymphocytes.
  2. Th lymphocytes produce separate sets of cytokines. The cytokines present in the microenvironment decide which subpopulation of the Th lymphocytes (Th1 or Th2) will be formed from Th0 lymphocytes, and hence which path will be chosen by lymphocytes B. The presence of IL-4 and IL-13 boosts the development of Th2 and the switch of the antibody class towards IgE. IL-10 produced by Th2 lymphocytes inhibits Th1 lymphocytes, thereby strengthening the direction of the immune response to Th2, which promote the production of IgE.
  3. The IgE particles bind with the mast cell, making it sensitised.
  4. When an allergen reaches a sensitised mast cell, it causes an inflammatory process. There is a release of inflammatory mediators such as histamine and proteases, as well as leukotrienes and prostaglandins. These substances cause the clinical symptoms of allergy, such as rhinitis, skin pruritus (itching), bronchospasm (dyspnoea), oedema, sneezing, cough, diarrhoea, and others.

  Statistics

In Poland, symptoms of allergy are declared by 40% of the population. Nearly 50% of Poles have positive results of skin allergy tests for the commonly occurring allergens. Allergic diseases represent a huge challenge for medicine – only 30% of patients with asthmatic symptoms were properly diagnosed.

The latest studies demonstrate that using special-purpose medical food reduces the symptoms of allergy and improves the functioning of allergy sufferers, which indicates the key role of the building substances in maintaining proper functions of the immune system.

  Opinions

I am 22 and have been suffering from compound allergy. I often catch infections of the upper respiratory tract and desensitisation brings only a slight improvement. After BioMarine®570 therapy, infections have a milder course and produce no complications. The allergy too is no longer so bothersome.
